The relief scene on this stone depicts the pharaoh Seti 1 (1294 – 1279 BC) offering the hieroglyphs of his prenomen to the god, Amun. Beyond the mud brick wall lies his mortuary temple.

The Cheesewring

 

The Cheesewring is a granite stack near the top of Stowe’s Hill. The summit is the site of an old Iron Age fort/enclosure. The Cheesewring itself is close to the edge of the quarry which was the source of thousands of tons of granite in years gone by.

Godrevy Rocks

Standing on the rocks around Godrevy Point a westerly gale blows hard across St. Ives Bay.
